Sigourney Barman, LMSW
Licensed Master Social Worker | Certified ADHD Clinician | Child, Adolescent & Adult Therapist | Licensed in New Jersey | Brooklyn Heights & Virtual Therapy.
Sigourney Barman (she/her) is a Licensed Master Social Worker and Certified ADHD Clinician at SageMind Psychology. She provides compassionate, evidence-based therapy for children, adolescents, and adults navigating ADHD, autism, anxiety, depression, executive functioning challenges, emotional dysregulation, and social-emotional concerns.
Sigourney understands that ADHD and neurodivergence can affect far more than attention. Clients may feel overwhelmed by daily routines, school or work demands, relationships, organization, decision-making, or a persistent sense that they are not meeting expectations. She helps clients better understand their unique strengths and challenges while developing practical strategies that make everyday life feel more manageable.
Her approach is warm, collaborative, and strengths-based. Sigourney creates a supportive space where clients feel genuinely heard and understood, while also helping them build concrete skills for emotional regulation, coping, organization, communication, and confidence. When working with children and adolescents, she values thoughtful collaboration with parents and caregivers so that progress in therapy can extend into home, school, and daily life.
Sigourney earned her Master of Social Work from Yeshiva University and has experience providing individual therapy, trauma-informed care, and family-centered support in outpatient and community-based settings.
